Planetary healing meets KPI's

Recent projects and explorations. I especially love it when brands and environmental stewardship collide.

The question came out of client work — advising companies on sustainability strategy and hearing the same response over and over: where do I even start? We conducted 20 interviews with sustainability professionals at companies including Levi Strauss, Seventh Generation, Oatly, and Illumina, then translated those findings into a self-assessment framework that matched companies to guidance based on actual sustainability maturity, rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist. The research was submitted to IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) as a capacity-building resource. Read here.

Oceanic Global
Science and Advocacy Manager for a nimble and culture-forward approach to marine conservation. A lot of good done in under a year.

Connected and amplified the work of leading researchers and thought leaders. Elevated relevant conversation at the intersection of climate x oceans. Coordinated speaker programming and production for United Nations World Oceans Day (500+ attendees). Facilitated grants for corporate partners, including Corona. Represented Oceanic Global at the UN Ocean Decade. Advised on launch strategy for Blue Standard v2.0, a plastic-free sustainability certification. Sometimes, took meetings in or near the water.

Debut Biotech — DEINDE
Putting inflammaging on the map, with language built for both the lab and the shelf.

Scripps Institution of Oceanography
A deep learning period.

Capstone: Reframe Sustain
A research project co-authored with Lindsay Carroll, focused on how companies without mature ESG programs integrate biodiversity into impact roadmaps.

Brought in to help shape DEINDE, Debut Biotech's internal ingredient brand centered on Naringenin. Worked closely with the team for several months on brand and science communications, translating the compound's biotech origins into a narrative a non-scientific audience could connect with, ahead of go-to-market.
